My supervisor upates me on the agenda of the meetings held with our company at night (I am a day time employee and I’m not there at night when they have meetings). The latest update that he gave me was that one of the girls who works on the night crew was seen shopping at Wal-Mart on the clock when she was supposed to be at work. When the supervisor checked her time card it said she had punched out at normal time, but he looked at his watch and it wasn’t even that time yet. He suspected her of tampering with the time clock and stealing time. When he confronted her about it she denied it and said that somebody else must have messed with the time clock and adjusted the time on her time card. Who else would do that to her own card but her? So anyway, he continued to say that everybody on the night crew denied tampering with the clock or her card, so the only other alternative was me! I was floored that he would even insinuate this! For one, I work during the day, why would I want to come back at night and tamper with anyone else’s hours!? This is what I explained to him and he kept saying, well , you’re right, you’re right, it doesn’t make sense to me either. Then he would turn right around in the same breath and repeat, "Remember, no tampering with the time-clock." I was so mad I could have spit. I have worked there almost 5 years and have always been honest and do the job I am paid for and then some. This girl has been working for us not even a month yet. I reminded him that this was the reason he fired our night time floor man (waxes/buffs floors), because he was actually caught tampering with the clock and stealing time. Then he quickly reminded me yet again, "Well, make sure you are not tampering with the time clock." I told him I felt disrespected. Especially since he had just finished reading to me the results of my customer satisfaction survey with everyone in the building saying how pleased they are with my work, …and then accuse me of tampering with someone else’s time card who works on a different shift. Wow.

You may assume this is a sweepstakes related to a Wal-mart customer satisfaction survey.

Thanks in advance

I want to emphasize this is a promotional sweepstakes I’m talking about. One example was mentioned earlier, another one will be mycokerewards program by Coca Cola which offers chances for sweepstakes.

hi,
we’re a family run skincare product business based in Scotland. we have a successful range of products which we sell through our shop, website, by mail order and also through some outlets throughout the country.

Our top selling product by far is our cream that people believe benefits their sore aching joints. We get fantastic feedback with it and since we opened our shop 10 months ago – word of mouth has worked amazingly well for us.

What im needing is – how can we promote this product any further? i dont like to say we have any ‘miracle product’ or ‘wonder cream’ because i believe its wrong to promise anything. What works for one person might not always work the same for the next.

We did a customer satisfaction survey with this product and over 80% came back with very positive feedback.

Look forward to your thoughts….
Thank you for your replies, i really appreciate it. For those interested, i would be happy to send a free sample for only feedback in return. let me know and i shall have it posted to you straight away.

Although friends & family say it is good, I need a public opinion. It is by no means finished and before I spend money on it I need to know how to proceed. There is about 70 pages but you only need to browse about a dozen pages to get a feel for it. I have just uploaded a piece of software to do this. Thanks in advance. Here is the link:

Here’s the scenario: Individual customer satisfaction survey scores (measure is % of surveys with ‘excellent’ score) collected more or less at RANDOM intervals throughout each quarter yet summarized and reported on a QUARTERLY basis as a single number. Number of surveys ~30 each quarter. Want to apply SPC limits to the quarterly, grouped number (ie % excellent among n = 30). Here’s the problem, I think: 1. P-chart assumes rational subgroups that act independently of each other over time. ‘Arbitrary’ quarterly sub-groups are likely highly correlated since surveys are collected at random intervals throughout quarter and not at a specific point in time. 2. P-chart becomes ultra-sensitive as n gets large? I want to minimize the likelihood of a false positive (false alarm).

Is there such a thing as a moving average chart for proportions or attributes? Should I treat the individual proportions as variables data and use a MA or other chart? What are my options?
