<p>I know the staff being helpful is a must in a shop.<br />
But I just got a part time job working in a Co-Op, and some of the stuff they make you do is ridiculous.<br />
Do you think having a script and being a$$ kissingly kind to everybody is necessary?<br />
Like today I served this lady with my boss supervising, and I didn&#8217;t really smile, but I spoke with a normal tone in my voice, I was very polite, I said everything I had to, and I spoke respectfully and she seemed satisfied.<br />
But apparently I had to be really happy and peppy :S..</p>
<p>Is that important to you?<br />
When I go into a shop, as long as the staff aren&#8217;t rude, and I get my stuff, I don&#8217;t really care tbh.</p>
<p>Also, we went to customer service training, and they showed us this chart of what the most important aspects of a shop is that customers care about, and it was this.</p>
<p>Customer Survey, what are the important things that bring you back to a shop?:</p>
<p>70% &#8211; Customer Service</p>
<p>15% &#8211; Price Value</p>
<p>15% &#8211; Locality </p>
<p>I smell bull$hit..</p>
<p>Do you agree?, is 70% of what takes you back to a shop the customer service?, would you rather me stand there being all happy and peppy?, and as long as that&#8217;s the case, you don&#8217;t mind travelling miles or spending too much money?</p>
<p>It just seems like a bunch of suits seem to have made this conclusion, because the world cant really be that sad, can it?</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>You are a new employee at a data recovery company and their tagline is &quot;Your reputation is safe with us!&quot;  They treat all data with the strictest confidence UNLESS they find anything on the computer that involves plans for FUTURE criminal activity.  So, with that being said, you are recovering data from a new customer&#8217;s computer and you find a diary and photos of a detailed murder that was committed by the customer.  You do some research and see if this person in the diary is still missing or if the case is closed.  Being seriously disturbed by this, you show your boss the photos and tell him the whole story of what happened and ask him what to do.  The boss says to you, &quot;What we do is recover his data and give it back to him and send him a bill.&quot;  You are appalled by this, but the boss strictly says, &quot;Finish the work and stop snooping through the customer&#8217;s files, O.K?&quot;</p>
<p>So, out of these OPTIONS, what would you do?<br />
1) Ignore it and just go back to work<br />
2) Quit the company and just not say anything<br />
3) Quit the company and turn the customer into the authorities<br />
4) Ignore what the boss said and turn the customer in anyways</p>

<p>(My job pays a decent salary and has excellent insurance benefits and TONS of vacation days, but I can&#8217;t take it anymore because my boss is mean, abusive, rude, illogical, selfish, and unappreciative.  It&#8217;s a damn shame that she can&#8217;t learn to treat people better, but I just can&#8217;t take the emotional abuse anymore.)</p>
