It’s going to have to take a combo effort.

    1) Job search sites – careerbuilder, Monster, HotJobs, etc. Just take it with a grain of salt.
    2) Also try your state search site – http://www.stateofflorida.com/Portal/DesktopDefault.aspx?tabid=219
    3) Try nonprofit sites – idealist.org
    4) Try individual companies you want to work for – go to their sites 3 times a week after 5:00.
    5) Reach for the paper’s classifieds

Basically – you’re going to have to use as many resources as possible. One or two won’t work alone usually.

In my last job, I found it on Monster. However, I was laid off in December.

Of the two interviews I’ve had…

…one was found on the company’s website
    …one was found on Careerbuilder

Also, one more tip – redo your resume and cover letter. Often if you aren’t getting any nibbles, it all revolves around how you’re selling yourself.

It’s never always crystal clear how to begin looking for a job, I was in a bit of a hole during the last couple of weeks when I was job searching, until I unearthed the website in the box below that gives sensible tips. I soon got myself going down the proper way, and in a couple of weeks after a couple of interviews I got myself a really great job.
