I teach because it comes easily to me and I have a good understanding of how people, both children and adults, learn. There is a sense of satisfaction in seeing people suddenly understand something they had struggled with. People become empowered when they learn new things, and it is a good feeling to be part of that.

6. Funny that you should ask this question. I am also co-president of the teachers union and have just returned home from negotiations. We have declared impasse! However, I love my job and cannot imagine doing anything else.
