Why do companies do anti-poaching agreement despite of having excellent leader and wonderful employee care?

Whу mοѕt οf thе companies dο anti-poaching agreement?

    Because, in practice, they don’t have everything "excellent". There are idiots in every field, and a lot of ambitious people who want to drive themselves higher up the chain. By no means is the corporate world some sort of well-organised utopia.

    All a company wants to do is make money, and that means they need the best people, and if they can, they’ll steal them.

    How about this scenario.

    I own a great company. I pay well,treat my employees good and everyone love working with/for me. My average employee has been with me more than 15 year. Then trouble comes up.

    Employee 1 finds out his/her spouse is screwing around or has developed a drinking/drug problem. His/her family problems start to have big negative effects on their life. Their personal problems start to effect their work and the well being of the company. It creates problems that have a negative impact on my company and my other employees. After several months I am forced to let the employee go to protect my company and m other employees.

    Should I not try to protect myself and my employees?

    Here is another.

    Employee 2 is a good employee. I like their work and treat them well. They have a 4 year college degree and have worked for me for 10 years. I pay them about $100K a year.
    However, I feel that since I started my company 30 years ago and I have invested and risked over a million dollars of my starting my company, I pay myself better than I do my employee. I make $200K a year.
    My employee is ambitious, a trait that I admire and also have. They want to make $200K a year and be the boss. Good for them. But should I loose my customers and employees to their ambition? Or should I try to protect my business and employees?
