    NO Yahoo will never ask for your password and to verify your account all they have to do is check their records. It is a attempt to get your password and personal information. There is an address to forward such mail as this to Yahoo. I think it is spoof @yahoo.com but am not sure. You could open the letter an hit ‘reply’, that may give you the address of who sent it, but they may be able to defeat this now. Do not click on any link on the letter and do not reply to it. Forward it to Yahoo.

    I received the same kind of a message, that looks like this.
    Is this real or a phish attempt to take over my account???
    It looks pretty offical, but it could be fake too. I reported it
    to abuse@yahoo.com and I’m waiting to see if they reply back.
    If this is fake it could take control of many people’s accounts
    and kill a great e-mail service.
